Cosmetic Dentistry > Tooth Whitening
One of the easiest and most satisfying procedures that we perform at our office is tooth whitening.
Tooth whitening or bleaching can be an in-office procedure that takes about one hour or an at home procedure that takes about two weeks. We will help you make the right choice for you.
Whitening is most effective for teeth that have become discolored due to yellowing from age, tobacco, red wine, coffee or tea.
Everybody loves a bright, white smile! There is no reason why you shouldn't have one too.

Cosmetic Dentistry > Veneers
Veneers are ultra-thin shells of ceramic (porcelain) or resin material that are permanently bonded onto the front or back of the teeth and can make a vast improvement on the tooth’s appearance.
Veneers are used to correct teeth that are yellowed or discolored, worn, chipped, or crooked and in some cases can be used in place of braces. They can also be used to treat unsightly gaps between the teeth. The only requirement is that the natural teeth be structurally sound.
Our veneers are custom-designed to fit your face, smile, gender and personality so they look and feel like real teeth.

Cosmetic Dentistry > Bonding
Composite tooth bonding is a cosmetic dentistry technique that can work wonders for your smile. Using materials that match the shade, translucency and texture of your teeth, gaps between the teeth can be closed, spots, chips, and discolorations can be eliminated, and your self-confidence can be enhanced through the improved appearance of your smile.

Dental bonding uses a composite resin to fill in cracked, broken, or cavity stricken teeth. One of the many benefits of tooth bonding is that the composite resin is bonded directly to the tooth and can expand and contract the same as your natural teeth.
This is a virtually painless procedure and is mostly completed in one visit. Our patients are amazed with their new beautiful, natural looking smile following the bonding procedure.

Cosmetic Dentistry > Tooth colored fillings
Recent advances in cosmetic dentistry have given us the ability to place tooth colored fillings in any of your teeth in place of the traditional metal or silver fillings. Since these fillings are the same color as your natural teeth they blend in the mouth seamlessly.

These tooth colored fillings are chemically bonded to the tooth which helps protect the remaining tooth structure from breaking.

Cosmetic Dentistry > Bridges & Crowns
A crown (some people call it a "cap") is used to restore a tooth that would otherwise be in danger of breaking. It covers and protects the entire tooth.
With old technology, dental crowns always needed to be made with a metal foundation. Today, we can make them out of pure porcelain, ceramic or aesthetic reinforced resins.
Bridges are used to replace missing teeth . It usually involves putting a crown on each tooth on either side of the missing tooth, and then a false tooth or teeth is suspended between the crowns.

Our Services > Restorative Dentistry
Dental implants have proven to be a reliable solution to teeth loss. They offer you a permanent or secure alternative for replacing one or more teeth.
Dental implants are placed under the gum and in the jawbone. The implants then fuse to the bone and become a support for as few as one tooth or as many as an entire arch. Once the implants are stable in their position, a permanent restoration - a crown or a bridge is placed. Implant restorations are usually very comfortable to the patients.
Many of our patients will tell you that implants have changed not only their smiles but their lives too!
The basic requirement for dental implants is healthy and adequate bone to support the implants.
Want to know if you're a candidate for dental implants, please contact the office of Ramon Bana for a consultation.

 |
Does the thought of going to the dentist terrify you? |
| |
 |
Do you have a sensitive gag reflex? |
| |
 |
Did you have a bad dental experience in the past? |
| |
 |
Do you need extensive dental work? |
|
If so, then sedation dentistry might be the right solution for you. Sedation dentistry is pain-free and anxiety-free. So don't let fear of dental procedures prevent you from receiving the treatment you need.
Dr. Bana and his staff are trained to administer oral, intravenous and nitrous oxide sedation to help you relax and get the treatment you need.
Since the effects of sedation can last for a couple of hours, you will need assistance getting to and from the dental office.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Dr. Bana will administer a pill to be taken about one hour before treatment. The patient becomes sleepy and develops a diminished awareness of sounds and smells. The effects can last for up to four hours.
Intravenous or IV Conscious Sedation
A sedative is injected directly into the blood stream via intravenous methods. You will remain conscious during IV sedation. You will also be able to understand and respond to requests from Dr. Bana if necessary. You will have little to no memory of the procedure.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
This is the most frequently used sedation method used in dentistry. Nitrous Oxide is a sedative gas that is inhaled directly by the patient.
Most patients initially experience a feeling of lightheadedness and then gradually feeling of happiness and elation. It has a rapid onset with no lingering effects.
Dr. Bana is certified by the State Board of Dentistry in IV and Oral Sedation.
If you fear going to the dentist or simply want to have a totally anxiety-free appointment, call and schedule a consultation, today.
Be sure to check out the FAQ section of the website, for more information on the Sedation Process.

Our Services > Emergency Treatment
Unfortunately the occasion does happen that a tooth breaks, fractures, or has a cavity that has been left untreated. This can be extremely painful.
Emergency dentistry is treatment that is meant to relieve pain and suffering. In some instances, a tooth is unrestorable and needs to be extracted. In other cases, the tooth can be restored and a root canal would be an efficient treatment.
Our office is prepared to render both extractions and root canals to alleviate dental pain.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy or endodontic treatment consists of the removal of inflamed or infected pulp tissue (dental nerve) and the cleansing and sealing of the internal tooth structure.
Root canal treatment may be necessary in cases where there is advanced decay, trauma to the tooth, periodontal disease, bruxism (teeth grinding) or cracked teeth.
New technology enables Dr. Bana to treat most cases in one appointment. Treatment is painless and a successful result is accomplished in a very high percentage of cases.
